What's Next for MJF, Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson After AEW All Out Results?

Despite the quick turnaround in between pay-per-views, AEW All Out 2024 delivered in spades as a night when scores were settled and statements were made.

MJF and Daniel Garcia finally faced off following weeks of animosity and kicked off the event on a high note with an excellent outing. Despite falling short of victory, Garcia proved he's on MJF's level and that his bad blood with the former AEW world champion is far from over.

Jack Perry attempted to wrestle the AEW World Championship away from Bryan Danielson and cut his retirement tour (as an active competitor) short but was ultimately defeated by The American Dragon.

Post-match, Danielson was laid out in shocking fashion by his Blackpool Combat Club comrades, an assault led by Jon Moxley who only just recently returned to AEW TV.

The chaotic conclusion to All Out saw Adam Page reign supreme over Swerve Strickland in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Steel Cage clash. The two took their heated rivalry to new heights and forced each other to endure unimaginable pain and punishment.

Now, fans look ahead to the next chapter in each of these high-profile programs and how the All Out results will set the stage for what's to come.

Daniel Garcia Must Ultimately Avenge Loss to MJF

Although all signs point to Daniel Garcia sticking around in All Elite Wrestling for the foreseeable future, his uncertain contractual status with the company shouldn't affect the outcome of his feud with MJF.

Pairing him up with his former friend immediately upon his return at All In made the most sense. It was the former AEW world champion who sidelined Garcia from television for two months with a vicious beatdown in June, and Garcia has yet to give him his comeuppance.

In the few weeks since they rekindled their rivalry, Garcia has shown much more range than before and held his own with MJF on every occasion. The strong performance he had in their grudge match at All Out was enough to earn him credibility even in defeat.

However, the endgame should be for the 25-year-old to beat MJF, which would mark the former ROH Pure champ's biggest win in AEW to date.

He's gradually working his way up the card but can't be elevated to the next level until he overcomes this one obstacle that's been holding him back. His standing in the midcard won't change unless he can win when it matters most.

Setting Swerve Strickland's Sights Back on AEW World Championship

Adam Page was finally successful in what he set out to do at All Out: Exacting revenge on Swerve Strickland for all of the agony he's had to endure over the last year.

Their grueling cage match seemed to mark the end of this stage of their storyline with Page scoring his first win ever over Strickland. In reality, though, they're destined to fight forever.

There are many more matches to come down the road, but the feud should be put on the back-burner for the time being.

Their All Out encounter being an "unsanctioned" match means Strickland can continue pursuing a rematch for the AEW World Championship he lost to Bryan Danielson at All In because his defeat to Page doesn't count in the record books.

Where that leaves Hangman is unknown, but Strickland belongs in the mix for the top title. With WrestleDream emanating from both men's home state of Washington on Oct. 12, Strickland and Danielson running it back for the belt should be the main event, ideally with Swerve regaining the gold.

From there, Strickland can always revisit his rivalry with Page and put the prestigious prize on the line to up the ante.

Bryan Danielson's Next Confirmed Challengers

Although Bryan Danielson defeating Jack Perry at All Out was hardly in doubt, the former Jungle Boy was a perfectly fine first challenger for the new AEW world champion, especially with it being put together on such short notice.

Danielson can now focus greater challenges, most notably Darby Allin and Christian Cage.

By virtue of his victory in the Royal Rampage match at the end of July, Allin earned himself an AEW World Championship shot on the Grand Slam edition of Dynamite on Sept. 25.

That outcome is equally obvious, but Allin has a much stronger chance of potentially walking away with the gold than Perry.

Additionally, Cage waits in the wings with his guaranteed title shot. He could wait to cash it in until after Danielson drops the belt, but the potential of them feuding would be great to pass up for a pay-per-view program.

There are bound to be other stars who step up looking for a shot at the strap (including from his now-former Blackpool Combat Club stablemates), but Allin and Cage are the most likely contenders for the time being.

As previously noted, Swerve Strickland shouldn't be counted out as a possible opponent for WrestleDream as well given his own unresolved issues with Danielson from All In.

What Will Become of Blackpool Combat Club?

Nothing that transpired at All Out was more shocking than Blackpool Combat Club's betrayal of Danielson following his successful defense of the AEW World Championship against Perry.

Jon Moxley hasn't been seen alongside the stable in months, but there weren't any signs to suggest there had been tension within its ranks.

Despite that, Moxley led Claudio Castagnoli, PAC and Marina Shafir in an attack on The American Dragon while Wheeler Yuta was forced to watch on.

The shakeup within BCC was long overdue and provides Danielson with a slew of fresh opponents should they be booked in a feud going forward. The veteran being beaten for his title within the next year would prevent that from happening, but that would be a waste of what could be compelling television.

Moxley shouldn't be the one to dethrone Danielson as champ, but if his retirement tour extends beyond WrestleDream, he should be one of his final opponents given their storied history.

The path of destruction the Moxley-led Blackpool Combat Club appears to be on should be the focal point of AEW TV post-All Out, making every one of Danielson's upcoming title defenses all the more must-see.
