Lions Fan Shuts Down Troll's Bandwagon Criticism with Viral Photo of Season Tickets

One Detroit Lions fan pulled the ultimate flex to prove his diehard credentials.

Michael Luchies, a user on X, shared a photo of his past season ticket invoices after his status was called into question. Among the years for which Luchies had tickets was 2008, when the Lions went winless:

You can pretty much pick out any stretch of modern Lions history and their fans would have enough heartbreak to deliver the "Tears in the Rain" monologue from Blade Runner. For decades now, the franchise has vacillated between being irredeemably bad, merely average, and just good enough to get your hopes up before letting you down when it counts.

That changed last year when Detroit won its first division title since 1993 and was one half away from reaching the Super Bowl.

Now, Lions fans are in the unfamiliar position of rooting for a team that's expected to be a true contender and one that's popular among neutral NFL followers. Even leaving aside the narrative of a historic underdog finally winning, Dan Campbell's squad averaged the third-most yards (394.8) and fifth-most points (27.1) in 2023.

The better Detroit does on the field, the bigger the bandwagon will become.

For many in the Motor City, this current run promises to be a well-earned reward after watching years of futility.
