Chiefs' Xavier Worthy Scores TD on 1st Touch vs. Ravens; Impresses Tyreek, Watt, Fans

It looks like Patrick Mahomes has his next speedy target.

Rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy secured the team's first touchdown of the 2024 NFL season and he did it off of an explosive rushing play.

He took the handoff from Mahomes and dashed 21-yards for the score. This comes after he set the record for the 40-yard dash in the 2024 NFL Draft combine.

Fans, including Tyreek Hill and J.J. Watt, quickly took to social media to celebrate the play and hype Worthy's potential.

The Chiefs selected Worthy with the 28th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Kansas City received the pick after a trade with the Buffalo Bills and the potential looked solid for his fit in the offense.

Hill saw significant success in that offense as another small but speedy receiver. Hill is an extremely high bar to reach but Worthy's main goal will be improving a receiving core in Kansas City that had some struggles in 2024.

He had 75 catches for 1,014 yards and five touchdowns for Texas in 2023 and bringing similar production to the Chiefs would help the team significantly as it seeks a third consecutive Super Bowl victory.
