Frances Tiafoe used Mikal Bridges' three-point celebration after winning his second-round match against Alexander Shevchenko at the U.S. Open on Wednesday.

Bridges was at the match to congratulate Tiafoe following the victory.

The 26-year-old showed love to another New York Knicks star prior to the match, wearing a Jalen Brunson jersey as he warmed up in front of the crowd in Queens, New York (h/t Peter Botte of the New York Post).

Tiafoe earned his win after Shevchenko retired in the third set with the American leading 6-4, 6-1, 1-0.

"Happy to get it done," Tiafoe said afterwards, per ESPN. "Hate to win it that way but overall I thought I actually played pretty well today."

Bridges joined the Knicks following a blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets on June 25. The Nets received a package of assets headlined by four unprotected first-round picks in return.

After making it to Game 7 of the second round of the playoffs, the Knicks are expected to contend with the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers near the top of the Eastern Conference standings next season. Bridges will also be joining his former Villanova teammates such as Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart.

As for Tiafoe, he'll face off against fellow American Ben Shelton in the third round after the 21-year-old defeated Roberto Bautista Agut on Wednesday.
