Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce landed a role in Happy Gilmore 2, and it looks like he's already in character.

Kelce took to the green to show off his powerful golf swing in the style of the titular character made famous by Adam Sandler:

Sandler reacted to Kelce's swing in the latest episode of the New Heights podcast:

Kelce first expressed his desire to be a part of Happy Gilmore 2 in May, saying he would take whatever role offered to him.

"I didn't even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2, but if there is I'll be a [freaking] extra," he said at the time. "Anything I can do to get around Happy Gilmore or an Adam Sandler film or set, count me in."

Kelce got his wish, as Sandler confirmed during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last week that the three-time Super Bowl champion will have a role.

"We have a nice something for Travis," Sandler said. "He's gonna come by. He's a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He's a stud and he's so funny."

Sandler added that the filming for Happy Gilmore 2 will begin in the next few weeks, which would coincide with the start of the 2024 NFL season. It will be fun to see how Kelce balances his budding acting career with trying to help the Chiefs win another title.
