Colorado's Travis Hunter Eyes Heisman Trophy, National Title Game in 2024 CFB Season

Entering the 2024 season, Colorado two-way phenom Travis Hunter has lofty expectations for himself and his team.

When asked about his goals for the upcoming campaign, Hunter told ESPN's Adam Rittenberg that he has his eyes set on the pinnacle of college football.

"Heisman Trophy," Hunter said, "and win a bowl game or get to the national championship."

Hunter, who starts at cornerback and wide receiver for the Buffaloes, is one of the most exciting players in the nation. During his first year at Colorado in 2023 after transferring from Jackson State, Hunter produced 57 catches for 721 yards and five touchdowns while adding 30 total tackles, five passes defended, three interceptions and two tackles for loss in nine games.

The 21-year-old was a consensus All-American and earned the Paul Hornung Award as the most versatile player in college football.

Rittenberg reported that Hunter's role for the Buffaloes will remain the same in 2024, as the staff led by head coach Deion Sanders wants to deploy him as much as possible on both sides of the ball. He will also have a role on special teams.

If Hunter can stay healthy this year, he will undoubtedly put himself in the conversation for the Heisman Trophy, and his two-way production will help Colorado compete for a spot in a bowl game.
