The penultimate group of player ratings in NBA 2K25 has been unveiled, highlighted by Victor Wembanyama making his debut in the top 20.

Players ranked 11-20 were revealed on Friday, with Wembanyama checking in at No. 18 with a 91 overall rating. Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards leads this group with a 93 overall rating, followed by Devin Booker, Jalen Brunson and Donovan Mitchell.

Since receiving a 77 overall rating entering his rookie season, Edwards has seen a steady ascent in each of the last four years. He went from an 81 in his second season to 86 and 88 before getting to his current position.

Brunson solidified his status as a superstar last season with the New York Knicks. He has been rewarded for that with 2K moving him into the fringes of the top-10 overall ratings.

The 93 overall rating for Brunson represents a 23-point jump from his first appearance in NBA 2K19. He was an unheralded second-round draft pick by the Dallas Mavericks at that time and is now the biggest star the Knicks have had since at least the peak of the Carmelo Anthony era.

Because the hype around Wembanyama was so strong after he was drafted, there wasn't a steep climb for him to make in order to climb into the top 20 players in 2K. The San Antonio Spurs phenom was the highest-rated rookie ever when he received an 84 overall last year.

Wembanyama's historic debut season gave him a seven-point ratings bump for this year's game. If he continues on his current trajectory, no one will be surprised if he's one of the top five players in NBA 2K26 when that gets released next year.

For comparison, LeBron James went from being a 78 overall in NBA 2K4 prior to his rookie season up to a 97 in NBA 2K6 prior to his third season. It wasn't until NBA 2K9 that James finally joined the 99 club.

The top 10 players in NBA 2K25 will be unveiled on Monday. Notable stars whose rating has yet to be revealed include James, cover star Jayson Tatum, Stephen Curry, Luka Dončić, Nikola Jokić and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
