Fred Warner of the San Francisco 49ers and Roquan Smith of the Baltimore Ravens sit atop the linebacker ratings in Madden NFL 25.

EA Sports unveiled the top 10 linebackers in the new game, led by Warner and Smith for the second straight year.

Warner has been the No. 1 linebacker in Madden for three straight years. His overall rating during this stretch has gone from 94 in Madden NFL 23 to XX this year.

The 49ers superstar has been an All-Pro first-team selection in each of the past two seasons and three times in the previous four years. He has the best coverage grade (92.5) and second-best run defense grade (91.0) among all linebackers since 2020, per Pro Football Focus.

The 2023 season may have been Warner's masterpiece. He set career-highs with 11 pass breakups, four interceptions and 2.5 sacks.

Smith has ascended to become one of the best defensive players in the league since he joined the Ravens midway through the 2022 season. The 27-year-old has been a tackling machine with at least 158 combined tackles in each of the past three seasons.

The Georgia alum makes his presence felt in the backfield in ways that are extremely rare for an off-ball linebacker. He has recorded at least five tackles for loss in each of his first six seasons and at least four sacks three times.

Madden NFL 25 will be released on Friday, Aug. 16 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
