Jake Paul Lost 38 Pounds in 5 Weeks for Perry Fight After Mike Tyson Postponement

Scott Polacek

Jake Paul underwent quite the transformation in preparation for his victory over Mike Perry.

The YouTube-star-turned-boxer who was initially preparing for a showdown with Mike Tyson lost 38 points in five weeks to reach the 200-pound weight class ahead of Saturday's bout against Perry:

It worked for Paul, as he had little trouble with the former UFC fighter and won via a sixth-round TKO. He knocked the challenger down multiple times before the official stopped the match and gave him the win.

Paul was initially scheduled to face Tyson on July 20, but the fight was pushed back due to medical issues for the 58-year-old.

It is now scheduled for Nov. 15, and it wouldn't be a surprise if Paul put on some weight for that fight. Tyson is no longer the dominant boxer he was at his peak, but he is still someone who brings plenty of power to the table and figures to challenge Paul in the high-profile showdown.
