Carmelo Anthony's Son Kiyan Reveals Top 6 Schools; Syracuse, OSU Among Finalists

Andrew Peters

The son of an NBA legend has narrowed his list of schools down to just six.

Per 247Sports' Dushawn London, Carmelo Anthony's son, Kiyan Anthony, will choose between USC, Rutgers, Ohio State, Auburn, Florida State and Syracuse, where his father played.

London noted that Anthony said he will visit each of the six schools and commit at the end of the fall.

Per 247Sports Composite, the Glen Head, New York, native is considered to be the No. 31 player nationally, the No. 5 shooting guard in the country and the No. 1 player in the state of New York for the Class of 2025.

Like his father, Anthony can score with ease and appears to have a sweet touch from the mid-range, also reminiscent of Melo.

Anthony recently put his scoring on full display at Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League.

While all of his potential schools would likely be a good fit given his skill level, Syracuse is the most noteworthy given his father's legacy there. Carmelo spent a season with the Orange, putting up 22.2 points and 10 rebounds per game to lead the team to its first NCAA championship.

After Syracuse's struggles in recent seasons, Anthony could have the chance to form his own legacy with the Orange.
