Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is making the most of her monthlong break from the WNBA.

Clark is vacationing in Mexico with teammates Lexie Hull and Katie Lou Samuelson.

The 6'0" guard helped Team WNBA beat Team USA in the WNBA All-Star Game last Saturday. After the game, it was clear she was already mentally preparing for her time off. She opened her press conference by telling reporters, "I'm on vacation."

"I honestly can't wait to not touch a basketball for a while," she said. "I've shot too many times in the past year."

Clark, like most other rookies, didn't have much of an offseason thanks to the close proximity between the end of the college basketball season and the start of a new WNBA campaign. Her college career ended on April 7 in the national championship, and her regular-season debut with the Fever was on May 14.

That's why Clark may not have been totally heartbroken to miss the cut for the United States national team ahead of the Summer Olympics. As much as she will want to earn an Olympic medal one day, a Mexican sojourn probably feels pretty good after the marathon start to her WNBA career.
