WWE Rumors: Latest on Bobby Lashley, MVP's Contract Negotiations amid Roster Buzz

Tyler Conway

Bobby Lashley and MVP's contracts are nearing their end in WWE, and both parties could be eying an exit.

Mike Johnson of PW Insider reported WWE has made Lashley a contract offer, but it wasn't one he felt compelled to "jump to sign." The former WWE champion is considering exploring the market as a result, with Sean Ross Sapp of FightfulSelect.com reporting that Lashley plans to continue wrestling if he leaves WWE.

MVP's contract with WWE is reportedly set to expire in August. Johnson added that neither Lashley nor MVP have been removed from WWE's internal roster despite rumors to the contrary.

Lashley has not been seen on WWE television in months after suffering an injury while training. MVP has also been kept off TV and recently expressed frustration over Triple H not wanting to reform the Hurt Business.

It's possible Lashley and MVP could look to bring the faction together in a different promotion. Shelton Benjamin has been working on the independent circuit since his release last year.

If Lashley and MVP leave WWE, that would only leave Cedric Alexander among the former Hurt Business members remaining in the promotion. Alexander's contractual status is not clear, but he and Ashante "Thee" Adonis recently debuted in NXT as a tag team.
