Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark debuted the new Nike Kobe 6 PE sneakers in practice on Friday as she prepared for the WNBA All-Star Game.
Clark earned the All-Star selection on July 2, as she's currently in the midst of a tremendous rookie season with the Fever. The former Iowa standout previously signed a deal with Nike that is worth $28 million over eight years, per Rachel Bachman of the Wall Street Journal.
Vanessa Bryant revealed the design of the sneakers during a Thursday post on her Instagram story, which are a variation of Kobe 6 Protros.
Clark hasn't been shy about her affinity for the former Los Angeles Lakers superstar's shoes, wearing several different versions of his signature kicks to begin her WNBA career after she was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft.
The 22-year-old has started the season strong, averaging 17.1 points to go along with a league-leading 8.2 assists per game on 40.5/32.7/89.1 shooting splits. Clark has already made history on multiple occasions, becoming the first rookie to secure a triple-double on July 6.
She also dished out 19 assists during a narrow loss to the Dallas Wings on Wednesday night, setting a new WNBA single-game record.
Clark won't be the only player representing the Fever during All-Star festivities, as 2023 Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston and veteran Kelsey Mitchell will both be making their second All-Star appearances. Indiana guard Erica Wheeler is also set to participate in the WNBA Skills Challenge on Friday night.
As for Clark, she'll suit up in the All-Star game on Saturday at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. Tip-off is at 8:30 p.m. ET.
