Bronny James has struggled at NBA Summer League thus far, going 6-of-26 from the field and 0-of-12 from three in three games.

He's had a bit more luck in Call of Duty, however.

The Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard won the Call of Duty Modern Warfare III tournament at the Encore Las Vegas hotel as part of this year's Summer League festivities. He topped Charlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams.

James, the son of LeBron James, won $10,000 and a custom Call of Duty championship belt. He defeated both Williams and Bobi Klintman of the Detroit Pistons in a two-minute drill contest, notching 84 total points.

That easily surpassed the total of 59 points put up by last season's winner, Jaylin Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder. But he only narrowly edged out Grant Williams in this year's event.

James has participated in Call of Duty tournaments in the past, including a $25,000 Modern Warfare 3 in May that also featured popular streamers like XQc and Sketch.
