Hot Takes on Jazz's Kyle Filipowski, Cody Williams and Isaiah Collier vs. Thunder

Joseph Zucker

The Utah Jazz and their stable of young players had a night to forget Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder came away 98-75 winners in NBA Summer League action.

None of Utah's three draft picks moved the needle much. Cody Williams had seven points on 3-of-10 shooting to go with one rebound, one assist and one steal. Isaiah Collier finished with eight points and one assist. Rounding out the group, Kyle Filipowski had four points, five rebounds and two assists.

Filipowski at least managed to throw down a nice alley-oop in the third quarter:

This bucket inside by Williams, meanwhile, will be more than enough to excite fans about the No. 10 overall selection's potential.

When it came to social media, opinions toward Filipowski were uncharitable to say the least.

That was a theme with Williams as well.

Collier was limited to 13:09 on the floor because the Jazz are managing his summer workload. His one half of work did garner some praise.

The Jazz take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday in the final night of the Salt Lake City Summer League. From there, they'll pivot to the summer festivities in Las Vegas. Utah's opener in Sin City is July 13 against the Dallas Mavericks.

It's safe to say fans will be looking to see more from Filipowski and Williams in addition to hoping Collier is afforded more playing time to showcase his skills.
