Less than one week away from the release of EA Sports College Football 25, details about Ultimate Team have dropped.

EA Sports announced recent legends like Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and Georgia tight end Brock Bowers will be available to add to your Ultimate Team roster at launch.

Gamers who pre-order the standalone deluxe edition or the MVP bundle that includes deluxe editions of College Football 25 and Madden NFL 25 will have access to one of the players announced on Tuesday as part of their Ultimate Team.

Per EA's official website, Ultimate Team allows gamers to build their college football dream team featuring past and present stars. Players can compete against other gamers or the AI.

Since EA Sports has a partnership with the NFL Players Association, active NFL stars will also be made available in the game.

Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey, Josh Allen, Ceedee Lamb, Stefon Diggs and Joe Burrow are among the active NFL players listed as being available in Ultimate Team mode.

Starting Ultimate Team mode won't immediately put those players on your squad. Gamers will inherit a beginner's team with a "handful" of familiar names, but you can add more through a challenge mode that requires you to complete specific tasks on the field.

The scenarios range from something common like completing a touch pass to more difficult tasks like pulling off a comeback against a rival school.

College Football 25 will have more than 100 challenges available to complete at launch, with new challenges introduced as the season goes along.

While gamers can build the roster however they choose, EA did build in a chemistry feature to ensure that all of the players on the field fit together. For instance, if you're a pass-first team, building an offensive line whose best suited at run blocking won't help even if the run-blocking unit is better overall.

EA Sports College Football 25 drops on July 15 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
