WWE Reportedly Ready for Ripley's Return at Any Time

Rhea Ripley has been out of action since shortly after WrestleMania 40 due to a shoulder injury, but WWE is reportedly prepared for her return whenever it may come.

According to Fightful Select (h/t H Jenkins of Ringside News), WWE has constructed the storyline involving Ripley, Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day so that Rhea can "slide in and return to her program whenever she's ready," even if that means bringing her back before she is cleared for in-ring action.

Fightful added that Ripley could conceivably be included in plans for SummerSlam, although it is unclear if that will be the case.

From a storyline perspective, Morgan was responsible for Ripley's injury, and is the reason why she had to vacate the Women's World Championship.

Becky Lynch initially won the title after it was vacated, but Liv won it from her due to in large part to interference from Dominik, who claimed he was trying to help Becky.

In the weeks since then, Morgan has been trying to seduce Dom and infiltrate The Judgment Day, and Damian Priest divulged Monday on Raw that he talked to Rhea, who was furious about the situation.

When the time comes for Ripley to return, she will undoubtedly receive a huge babyface pop, and Liv will be firmly in her crosshairs.

It is also possible that Rhea will target Dominik, and if she gets physical with him, it could lead to some of the biggest crowd reactions in recent memory.

Even if she isn't able to wrestle a full match by then, there is no question that WWE would love to have Rhea involved with SummerSlam in some way given that it is one of the biggest shows of the year.

WWE's Reported Stance on 2-Night Royal Rumble

WrestleMania has been a two-night event since 2020 and SummerSlam is transitioning to two nights starting in 2026, which has led to speculation that other WWE premium live events could go a similar route in the future.

Royal Rumble has naturally been mentioned as part of the speculation since it is one of the major shows on the WWE calendar, although it doesn't sound like there are any imminent plans to make it a two-night spectacular.

Fightful Select (h/t Jenkins) reported that it hasn't heard of any intention to expand Royal Rumble to two nights, but a WWE source indicated it wouldn't be a difficult move to make at some point, saying: "Well, obviously the Royal Rumble is constructed to where it could be two nights. We could run one match one night, and run the other match the following night."

The 2018 Royal Rumble event marked the first women's Royal Rumble match in WWE history, and a men's and women's Rumble has been held every year since then.

WWE oftentimes opens with one of the Rumbles and main events with the other, but if WWE were to expand to a two-night Royal Rumble, it would allow both the men's and women's Rumbles to be in the main event slot.

Expanding the Rumble to two nights may not be necessary since there typically isn't much focus on other matches aside from the Rumbles, but it is still a path WWE could explore.

The decision to do two-night WrestleManias has led to increased revenue, and given how hot the WWE product is, the same will likely be true for SummerSlam.

Even if it isn't needed creative, a two-night Royal Rumble could eventually be a smart move financially that WWE can't pass up.

Reported Plans for The Bloodline at MITB

WWE reportedly has a plan in place for who will represent The Bloodline in a six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank on Saturday.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), The Bloodline's team is "probably" going to consist of Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

That means Jacob Fatu is not earmarked to make his in-ring debut, although Meltzer noted that WWE could "easily" insert him into the match "at the last minute."

A couple of weeks ago, Sikoa and Cody Rhodes were supposed to have a match in the main event of SmackDown, but it devolved into chaos with Tama and Loa getting involved, and Randy Orton and Kevin Owens evening the odds for Rhodes.

However, The Bloodline stood tall thanks to the debut of Fatu, who did a big splash on Cody through the announce table.

A six-man tag team match pitting Rhodes, Orton and Owens against The Bloodline at Money in the Bank was made official shortly thereafter, but it still hasn't been announced who will represent The Bloodline in the match.

Although he hasn't had a match in WWE yet, a strong argument can be made that Fatu is the best in-ring worker of the four Bloodline members, so his inclusion would perhaps make for the best possible match.

At the same time, Fatu could wreak havoc from ringside if he isn't in the match, which could be attractive from WWE's perspective.

Whatever the case, it promises to be a strong, storyline-driven match that could lead to a WWE Championship match between Rhodes and Sikoa at SummerSlam.
