The New York Jets' offseason additions on offense put some players' jobs under threat going into training camp.

The Jets loaded up their running back room with two rookies behind Breece Hall and that could leave Israel Abanikanda without a roster spot in Week 1.

Abanikanda and other players in danger of not getting enough snaps on offense could be on the trade block if they turn in strong preseasons.

The Jets also have some players who could be traded if things do not work out with a healthy Aaron Rodgers.

A miserable start would be the only trigger for the Jets to let go of some players, but that is a possibility given how many unknowns there are with the franchise's performance.

Israel Abanikanda

Israel Abanikanda is under threat to make the 53-man roster.

Breece Hall is the clear No. 1 running back on the depth chart. Draft selections Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis could take up any time Abanikanda may have projected to earn in 2024.

Abanikanda is still a young running back, and if he turns in a strong preseason, he could have suitors from throughout the NFL.

A strong preseason may not guarantee snaps for Abanikanda because of how talented Allen and Davis were at the collegiate ranks.

The Jets may not get much in return for a depth running back, but collecting any draft picks works in this spot in case they need an abundance of selections to rebuild in 2025.

Allen Lazard

Allen Lazard's time in New York will be directly attached to the success of Aaron Rodgers.

The wide receiver came over from the Green Bay Packers last offseason to provide some familiarity for the veteran quarterback.

Neither player saw much playing time because of injuries and now Lazard comes into a team with more depth at wide receiver.

The offseason acquisition of Mike Williams relegated Lazard to third-at-best on the depth chart. He may be even lower depending on how Xavier Gipson and Jason Brownlee perform this summer.

Lazard's four-year, $44 million contract may make him hard to trade, but he does have a potential out in his contract after the 2024 season, per Spotrac.

Lazard would be an expensive trade prospect for any team to acquire, but if the Rodgers era is a complete failure, the Jets could cut ties with the veteran wide out to clear space for their younger wide receivers to earn as much playing time as possible.

Haason Reddick

The Haason Reddick era has not gotten off to a great start.

The recently-acquired defensive lineman skipped out on mandatory workouts at the start of the Jets offseason program.

Reddick is in search of a new contract, but he may not get that with the Jets, and if his situation drags into the regular season, he may leave through a trade.

Of course, the dynamic with Reddick could change once training camp begins, but right now, he has put himself in a vulnerable spot with his new team.

Even if all goes well on a personal level, Reddick could be a prime trade candidate if the Jets struggle and some other team is willing to pay him for the next few seasons.
