The Golden State Warriors added Boston College forward Quinten Post with the No. 52 pick in the 2024 NBA draft.

The Warriors initially traded the pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder, although they acquired the selection once again for cash (via ESPN's Kendra Andrews).

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Golden State is now hard-capped at the second apron following the selection.

Fans were impressed with the selection of Post and looked forward to his fit alongside Stephen Curry.

Although he's one of the older prospects in the 2024 draft class at 24 years old, his skillset projects as an intriguing fit next to Curry. Post was an efficient stretch big throughout his collegiate career, shooting 38.8 percent from three in 124 games since his freshman year.

His long-range accuracy improved even further during his 2023-24 season, as he shot 43.1 percent from behind the arc on 3.3 attempts each night. Post also averaged 17.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game.

His height was measured at 7'0" without shoes at the NBA draft combine to go along with a 7'2.50" wingspan. The only taller players at the combine were Zach Edey and Donovan Clingan, who were both selected within the top 10 picks.

While he may not be as impactful as a rookie compared to Edey and Clingan, his size and shooting ability give the Warriors a unique option in their frontcourt rotation next season. Kevon Looney and Trayce Jackson-Davis are expected to soak up most of the minutes at center for Golden State, although neither player is taller than 6'9".

As the Warriors attempt to return to the playoffs following a loss to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in tournament, Post could carve out a rotation spot and space the floor for Curry during the 2024-25 season.
