Team USA is sending a strong contingent of golfers to the Paris Olympics next month.

Per ESPN, world No. 1 Nelly Korda will lead a women's golf team which also includes Lilia Vu and Rose Zhang in the Olympic Games this summer.

Vu, the world No. 2, and Zhang, who is ranked No. 9, will be making their Olympic debuts. Korda will be looking to defend the gold medal she won at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

"I'm honored to represent the United States once again on the Olympic stage this summer in Paris," Korda said. "Winning the gold medal in Tokyo was a dream come true and an incredible highlight to my career. I'm looking forward to defending my gold medal and bringing home some more hardware for Team USA."

The trio of golfers earned their spots on Team USA based on where they landed in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings at the end of the Olympic qualification period. The period came to an end last weekend with the KPGA Women's PGA Championship, in which Vu placed second.

"These three women enter Olympic golf competition with a combined eight victories on the LPGA Tour this season and are poised to reach the podium in Paris," USA Golf executive director Andy Levinson said.

Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa are representing Team USA in the men's competition, which will be held from Aug. 1-4. The women's competition will run from Aug. 7-10. Both will be played at Le Golf National outside Paris.
