Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark would enjoy the opportunity to team up with the Chicago Sky's Angel Reese in the WNBA All-Star Game.

The two added to their growing on-court rivalry Sunday as the Sky edged out the Fever 88-87 in the Windy City. Before the game, Clark told reporters it "would be a lot of fun" to line up alongside Reese in an All-Star format:

The WNBA is utilizing a different approach for the 2024 All-Star Game since this is an Olympic year. As was the case in 2021, the 2024 installment will see a team of WNBA stars match up against the United States national team in Phoenix on July 20.

Neither Clark nor Reese was selected for Team USA, so they'd be on the same side if they were both chosen as All-Stars.

Clark is on pace to represent Team WNBA based on the early voting returns. She had the second-highest vote total (216,427) behind the Las Vegas Aces' A'ja Wilson (217,773), and Wilson is already set to compete in Paris for the United States.

Even though the fan vote only counts for 50 percent of a player's weighted score, Clark might be a lock if she maintains her current position or even overtakes Wilson.

Reese could be headed toward her first All-Star nod as well. She was seventh in the fan returns, and her on-court production will have caught the attention of her fellow players and the media voters. The 6'3" forward is averaging 13.2 points and 11.1 rebounds, and she extended her double-double streak to eight games on Sunday against Indiana.

The WNBA All-Star Game doesn't quite feel the same when it's effectively serving as a tune-up exhibition for Team USA. Having Clark and Reese both involved would provide the kind of storyline that's guaranteed to attract a lot of interest.
