WWE Money in the Bank 2024 Match Card Predictions After Clash at the Castle Results

For as enjoyable as Clash at the Castle ended up being despite the lackluster build, it was equally effective in setting the stage for what's to come this summer season in WWE, specifically at Money in the Bank.

Superstars have spent the last several weeks declaring themselves for this year's men's and women's MITB ladder matches on July 6. Qualifiers will kick off on the upcoming episodes of Raw and SmackDown, but a majority of both fields appear to be set in stone.

On Saturday, Cody Rhodes again retained his Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles in a grueling "I Quit" match and already has his next challenger confirmed in Solo Sikoa.

WWE revisiting Rhodes' rivalry with The Bloodline at this stage indicates grander plans are in place for SummerSlam four weeks after Money in the Bank.

Damian Priest defeating Drew McIntyre at the weekend doesn't leave him with too many viable opponents for the event, but the card can be filled out by other high-profile matchups instead. That includes defenses of the United States and women's world championships.

In the wake of an eventful Clash at the Castle, let's look ahead at the projected lineup for Money in the Bank in Toronto.

Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Competitors: Jey Uso, Bron Breakker, Ludwig Kaiser, Sami Zayn, Randy Orton, Carmelo Hayes, Kevin Owens and Santos Escobar.

For the first time in a long time, there are multiple contenders who could capture the opportunistic briefcase and see their stock skyrocket in the process.

Jey Uso in particular had been treading water until the build for Money in the Bank officially kicked off. He has been heavily scouted by WWE along with the debuting Bron Breakker.

The level of potential that's present on the SmackDown side of things shouldn't be ignored, either. Carmelo Hayes and Santos Escobar are both on the rise, and the involvement of Kevin Owens and Randy Orton would give them something meaningful to strive for.

It's too early to tell who the best bet would be to become Mr. Money in the Bank, but the overall amount of star power among these athletes makes every one of them a threat.

Regardless of the outcome, a Money in the Bank ladder match featuring a lineup that stacked would be virtually guaranteed to deliver.

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Competitors: Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, Blair Davenport, Chelsea Green, Lyra Valkyria, Iyo Sky, Kiana James and Natalya.

The field for the women's Money in the Bank ladder match should be equally as accurate as the predicted entrants for the men's contest with a number of the names already having set their sights on the opportunistic contract.

Lyra Valkyria is still early on in her main roster run, but she has built momentum exceptionally well as part of her program with Damage CTRL. Meanwhile, Naomi has served as Bayley's backup for the last two months and might be ready for an opportunity of her own.

Natalya won't win but is a logical addition as an experienced Canadian in front a Toronto crowd. It should also be where Blair Davenport and Kiana James are afforded opportunities to break out.

All signs point to Tiffany Stratton being the 2024 Ms. Money in the Bank, though, based simply on how she could be considered a championship-caliber performer right now.

It's a true toss-up, but her odds are significantly higher than most.

Liv Morgan vs. Zelina Vega (Women's World Championship)

Liv Morgan besting Becky Lynch for the Women's World Championship with an "accidental" assist from Dominik Mysterio was a major moment at King and Queen of the Ring, followed by Morgan scoring a second straight win over The Man on the subsequent Raw.

That is likely to be the last time the women's world title is viewed as the focal point for the foreseeable future, at least until Morgan's ongoing angle with Dirty Dom, Rhea Ripley and the rest of The Judgment Day runs its course.

It's been fun for fans to follow, but it shouldn't come at the expense of the prestigious prize. That's why the gold should be up for grabs at Money in the Bank, and Zelina Vega is the best-case scenario for a challenger coming off their interaction the June 10 edition of Raw.

Vega hasn't been a viable threat to a title since Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico, but Raw's options are fairly limited until other contenders are built up. She and Morgan are capable of having a quality contest, and Vega is another (somewhat) notable name for Morgan to beat.

Logan Paul vs. LA Knight (United States Championship)

Fans have been anticipating LA Knight as an opponent for Logan Paul since their first-ever faceoff on Raw almost exactly one year ago, and it's taken WWE this long to finally get their feud going.

Knight has long been the perfect person to dethrone Paul for the United States Championship, and it always seemed to be more a matter of when than if the company would take the appropriate steps in making the match a reality.

On the June 14 edition of SmackDown, The Megastar invaded Paul's Puerto Rico home and was caught swimming in his pool by the YouTuber. The groundwork has been laid for them to collide with the title on the line at Money in the Bank.

The question is whether WWE intends to deliver a decisive finish or keep it going until SummerSlam. Paul finding a way to win—no matter how nefarious—would be well within the confines of his character, simultaneously protecting Knight in defeat and ensuring he stays in chase more for another month.

That could make the moment of him giving Paul his comeuppance and taking the star-spangled prize at SummerSlam all the more meaningful.

Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa (Undisputed WWE Championship)

Cody Rhodes' reign as undisputed WWE champion so far hasn't been without its detractors, but it can't be denied that he's been firmly positioned as the new face of WWE in the absence of Roman Reigns, a role he has adapted to amazingly well.

Also in the absence of Reigns, Solo Sikoa has risen to the title of Tribal Chief of The Bloodline and recruited the likes of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa to the faction. They've been running roughshod over the SmackDown roster for months and now have Rhodes in their crosshairs after Clash at the Castle.

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens coming to the aid of The American Nightmare planted the seeds for an eventual six-man tag team affair, but that would be better suited on SmackDown than at Money in the Bank. Rather, that should be where Rhodes defends against Sikoa one-on-one.

Rhodes taking on Orton would be a much bigger—and more exciting—attraction for SummerSlam.

Sikoa doesn't feel like as much of an obstacle for The American Nightmare as he should, which is why they should collide at Money in the Bank if the idea is for the Bloodline leader to factor into something involving Reigns' return at SummerSlam instead.
