Fans are going to have to wait a little bit longer to see Jake Paul fight Mike Tyson.

The fight was postponed due to a medical emergency on Tyson's end. Following the announcement, Paul took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to share his thoughts:

"Obviously devastating news, I'm heartbroken," Paul said. "I'm speechless and gutted, we've been working so hard over here."

He continued by expressing his sadness for those on his training staff as well as everyone else, including the other fighters, who were involved in the event.

"I just feel bad for everyone involved in this event," Paul said. "The whole undercard, this whole opportunity has been ripped from us."

However, he did acknowledge that he wanted Tyson to feel better and that his competitor is still trash talking despite his condition.

"I do value Mike's health, first and foremost," Paul said. "I love that guy, I have so much respect for him. I want Mike to be healthy and he says he still is going to knock me out and I bought myself some time."

The match was going to be one to monitor, especially considering the age gap between the competitors. The 27-year-old Paul was going to fight the 57-year-old Tyson, but the latter's accomplishments in the ring make him more than qualified.

Tyson is a former world champion who has a 50-6-2 career record in the ring. While Paul has seen some success in his time, sporting a 9-1 record, but facing Tyson, even in a more casual setting like this fight, will be a real test.
