Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Boxing Fight Rescheduled for November 15 After Postponement

The previously postponed Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight has been rescheduled for Nov. 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Nakisa Bidarian, Co-Founder of Most Valuable Promotions, issued a statement about the new date for the showdown (h/t ESPN's Andreas Hale):

"Our team has worked diligently with all parties involved to reschedule this monumental fight to a date that ensures both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fully prepared, with equal training time, as well as allowing us to keep the event at AT&T stadium in the midst of the Cowboys season. We appreciate the outstanding dedication, collaboration, and flexibility of our partners at Netflix and AT&T Stadium. Paul vs. Tyson is the most cross-generational sporting event in history, and we are committed to providing fans worldwide with this unforgettable night of boxing, live globally on Netflix. We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday, November 15 for a showdown that will be talked about for generations to come."

The Nov. 15 fight will take place in between two Dallas Cowboys home games at AT&T Stadium against the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 10 and Houston Texans on Nov. 18.

Tyson and Paul were previously scheduled to fight on Saturday, July 20, with Paul's Most Valuable Promotions promoting the bout.

However, Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up about a half hour before he was set to land on a Sunday, May 26, flight from Miami to Los Angeles, per his representatives. At the advice of his doctors, the fight was delayed, per an MVP announcement on May 31. The statement read that a makeup date would be released on Friday, June 7.

The most important news was the good word on Tyson's health. The former heavyweight boxing champion's reps said that he was "doing great" after receiving treatment for the ulcer flare-up, which made him nauseous and dizzy. Tyson also confirmed on X on Tuesday, May 28, that he was "feeling 100 percent."

Tyson's statement following the postponement news read in part:

"My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon. Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end you will still be knocked out and out of boxing for good. I appreciate everyone's patience and can't wait to deliver an unforgettable performance later this year."

Paul fired back:

"I fully support postponing the event so Mike Tyson has no excuses come fight night. My fans know I don't want to face Iron Mike at anything but his best, but let there be no mistake – when he steps into the ring with me, I will be ready to claim my W with a sensational finish. Paul vs Tyson will be one for the ages, and I promise to bring my best for this once-in-a-lifetime matchup."

Hale's report also includes a statement from Tyson, who said he will be able to "resume training shortly."

Tyson, 57, was the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion in the world from 1987 to 1990. At his peak, he was arguably the best boxer the world has ever seen. He began his career with 37 straight wins (33 by knockout) and ended it with 50. Tyson last stepped in the ring in Nov. 2020, when he fought ex-boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. to a split-decision draw in an eight-round exhibition fight.

Paul, 27, is a YouTube and social media star who has now found great fame in boxing, going 9-1 professionally with six knockouts. He has notched victories over ex-UFC stars Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley (twice) and Ben Askren. His last win was a first-round TKO (2:37) over pro boxer Ryan Bourland last March.
