New York Jets rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley already appears to be forming a special connection with Aaron Rodgers.

Corley told reporters on Friday that the four-time MVP offered to let the third-round pick stay in his guest house, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. The 22-year-old added that he's planning on taking Rodgers up on the offer.

The Jets selected Corley with the No. 65 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft after four seasons at Western Kentucky.

The living arrangement has seemingly been in the works since draft night, as Corley originally mentioned on April 26 that he spoke with Rodgers about staying in his guest house once training camp begins.

"Hopefully me and him get real close and I get to pick his brain and see all of the things that he's done to have sustained success in this league," Corley said. "I'm ready for it."

Rodgers is also looking forward to their partnership on the field as well, as head coach Robert Saleh told reporters that he was "excited" about the addition of the speedy wideout.

While Corley spent all four years of his collegiate career with the Hilltoppers, he excelled in 2022 and 2023 specifically. He was named first-team All-Conference USA in both seasons, totaling 180 receptions for 2,279 yards and 22 touchdowns in 26 combined appearances.

Even though the Jets already have an established No. 1 receiver in Garrett Wilson, Corley could still end up seeing meaningful snaps as a rookie. New York signed veteran wideout Mike Williams in free agency, although there's still a third starting receiver spot up for grabs.

Corley will likely need to beat out players such as Allen Lazard and Jason Brownlee in training camp, although he should get off to a strong start by building his connection with Rodgers both on and off the field.
