Mike Tyson, Jake Paul to Hold 2 Press Conferences in Mid-May Ahead of July Fight

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will take part in two press conferences leading up to their July 20 encounter.

Most Valuable Promotions announced Tuesday it's staging an event May 13 in New York City and another May 16 in Arlington, Texas:

This will be Tyson's first professional fight since 2005 after the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations decided to officially sanction the bout.

From the moment Paul vs. Tyson was announced, many fans wondered whether the age gap between the two would relegate this to an exhibition. Paul is 27 years old and Tyson will be 58 by the time he's back inside the ring.

The former heavyweight champion, who's 50-6, made it clear he wanted this to count in the record:

The eight rounds will only be two minutes apiece, though, down from the traditional three-minute length for professional fights.

Despite his age, Tyson certainly looks pretty imposing.

Throw in a massive gulf in experience and this might be the toughest challenge the famous YouTuber has faced in his boxing career.

For Paul, this is also a return to the kind of blockbuster pay-per-views that helped catapult him to stardom within the sport. Whereas easily dispatching of Ryan Bourland and Andre August helped to burnish his credentials slightly, the focus with Tyson is putting on the biggest spectacle possible.
