Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant will go from competitors to teammates at the 2024 Summer Olympics, and the Minnesota Timberwolves guard is looking forward to the experience.

"I got the utmost respect for KD. He comes in and competes every night. I've watched every one of his games since I've been 5. I love that guy. I'm excited to play with him this summer, talk a little trash and let him know I sent him home," Edwards said after the Timberwolves' sweep of Durant's Phoenix Suns.

Edwards dropped 40 points, nine rebounds and six assists to lead the Timberwolves to a 122-116 win over the Suns in Game 4 of their first-round series. Devin Booker had 49 and Durant finished with 33 for the Suns as the three Team USA members went back-and-forth showing their scoring prowess.

Durant also heaped praise on Edwards after the game, calling the 22-year-old his "favorite plaiyer to watch."

"So impressed with Ant," Durant said. "My favorite player to watch. Just grown so much since he came into the league. At 22, just his love for the game shines bright. That's one of the reasons why I like him the most. He just loves basketball. He's grateful to be in this position. He's grateful to take advantage of every opportunity he's gotten. Love everything about Ant. Everything. Will be watching him going forward and you know he's going to go out there and play extremely hard every single night. But [I] was really impressed with him and he's going to be somebody that I'm going to be following for the rest of his career."

Edwards is set for his first Olympic Games this summer in Paris. Durant will be competing in his fourth Olympics and will be looking to become the first men's player with four gold medals.

The Team USA team is stacked with some of the biggest names in basketball, with LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid being among the players who are joining Durant and Edwards.
