Cavs' Donovan Mitchell: 'I'm Disappointed in Myself' After Game 4 Loss to Magic

Andrew Peters

Donovan Mitchell struggled on Saturday as the Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Orlando Magic 112-89 to make it a 2-2 series, and the star shooting guard knows he'll need to improve in Game 5 to lead his team to a win.

"I have to be better," Mitchell said after the game, per Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor. "I'm disappointed in myself."

Mitchell had 18 points, six assists and six turnovers in the game, shooting 5-of-14 from the field and 1-of-4 from deep.

He was outstanding for Cleveland in Game 1, putting up 30 points as the Cavs won 97-83. He had a solid Game 2 with 23 points and eight rebounds in another win.

In the two losses, the Magic frustrated Mitchell, holding him to 11-of-30 shooting across Games 3 and 4, but those struggles have been the case for most of Cleveland's starting five. The Cavs shot 47.2 percent from the field and an abysmal 23.5 percent from three in Saturday's loss.

Now, the Cavaliers will return home after two games on the road and will look to go up 3-2. Cleveland is looking for its first playoff series win since LeBron James' final season with the club in 2018, but it will need a better showing from Mitchell and the rest of its starters to do so.

The Magic are looking to win their first playoff series since 2010, and snapping that drought should serve as motivation. Orlando did its best to contain Mitchell on Saturday, and it will need to do it again on Tuesday.
