Jaden Rashada Transfers to Georgia After 1 Season at ASU; Former 4-Star QB Prospect

Former 4-star quarterback Jaden Rashada is transferring to Georgia, his agent announced Thursday.

Rashada played his freshman season at Arizona State, throwing for 485 yards and four touchdowns against three interceptions. He entered the transfer portal last week and wasted no time committing to the Bulldogs.

Ranked as the No. 44 prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, Rashada had one of the oddest recruiting processes in college football history. He originally committed to the University of Miami amid reports of a $9.5 million NIL deal but later flipped his commitment to Florida after being promised a $13.9 million NIL payment.

When that promise fell through, Rashada requested a release from his letter of intent and again reopened his recruitment. At that late point in the juncture, he wound up landing at Arizona State.

Georgia is now the fourth school Rashada has aligned with since the summer of 2022. There is no word on any NIL deals being associated with the move, but if Rashada lives up to his high school hype, he certainly won't lack offers.

Rashada will arrive at Georgia firmly behind Carson Beck on the depth chart. He'll compete with redshirt sophomore Gunner Stockton and freshman Ryan Puglisi in camp for the backup spot. Stockton served as Beck's backup last season but threw only 19 passes. Puglisi is a 4-star recruit who was the No. 10 quarterback in the 2024 class, according to 247Sports.
