Full List of Michigan Players Drafted in Each Round of 2024 NFL Draft

Paul Kasabian

Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy leads a pack of Wolverines headed to the NFL, but many others from the national champions can make names for themselves on the next level.

For starters, consider running back Blake Corum. One of the toughest players in college football paced a powerful offense that helped guide Michigan to a 15-0 record. For his part, he finished with 1,362 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Don't be surprised if we look back at the draft in five years and see Corum as the clear No. 1 running back among his peers. He's now a member of the Los Angeles Rams, who took him at No. 83 overall.

The Michigan passing game didn't see a ton of action with the running game featured above all, but McCarthy and his receivers got the job done when called upon. Consider Roman Wilson for example. Twenty-five percent of his receptions (48) went for touchdowns (12) last year, and he also notched 16.4 yards per catch (789 yards).

He's now with the Pittsburgh Steelers and could easily find himself as a top-two wide receiver there in year one alongside George Pickens.

How stacked is Michigan, by the way? Corum, Wilson and guard Zak Zinter all went back-to-back-back in the third round, and NFL.com listed 18 different Wolverines as NFL draft prospects.

Michigan got it done in the trenches, too. Defensive tackle Kris Jenkins heard his name called on Day 2, for example, after going to the Cincinnati Bengals. The anchor of the nation's best scoring defense could find himself being the heartbeat of an NFL team's defense as well.

His teammate, linebacker Junior Colson, was also a tackling machine (95 stops) that will make the Los Angeles Chargers very happy. He notably reunites with ex-Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, now holding the same position in L.A.

Of course, there's McCarthy, too, now a member of the Minnesota Vikings at 10th overall. He's shot up draft boards throughout the preseason despite not having the gaudiest stats (22 passing touchdowns, 2,991 passing yards). But he completed 72.3 percent of his passes and threw for 9.0 yards per attempt. He was held back a bit in Michigan with such a strong focus on the running game, but he could shine on the next level.

Here's a look at where the Michigan prospects ended up in this year's NFL draft.
