The New York Jets are believed to be all-in on chasing a Super Bowl during the 2024 season with star quarterback Aaron Rodgers returning from a torn Achilles, and there's speculation that the team could be eyeing a big move in Thursday's NFL draft.

The Jets, who own the No. 10 pick, are likely eyeing an offensive weapon to add more firepower for Rodgers. However, ESPN's Rich Cimini reported Wednesday that New York general manager Joe Douglas is exploring the possibility of moving up in the draft to select one of the top receiver prospects.

"It would be an even louder statement if they trade up for a playmaker. The Jets are exploring those options, league sources said," Cimini wrote. "It would be the ultimate win-now move, giving up current (and perhaps future) draft capital to move up for a pass-catcher. Douglas is an aggressive GM, having traded up in the first round in two of his four drafts. In those cases, though, he had multiple first-round picks."

After signing former Los Angeles Chargers receiver Mike Williams to a one-year deal, the Jets added a quality No. 2 receiver next to Garrett Wilson. However, Williams is working his way back from a torn ACL and isn't viewed as a long-term answer.

The Jets have been frequently linked to Georgia tight end Brock Bowers leading up to the 2024 draft. B/R's NFL Scouting Department predicted in its latest mock draft that New York would select him at No. 10.

However, the 2024 draft class has a trio of superstar receivers who are believed to have bright futures in the NFL. Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr., Washington's Rome Odunze and LSU's Malik Nabers are ranked as three of the top 10 players in B/R's latest draft big board, with each of them possessing game-changing talent.

Waiting for one of them to drop to No. 10 would be risky, so the Jets could give themselves a better chance at drafting them with a trade up the list.
