The Dallas Cowboys come into the 2024 NFL draft with one clear primary need.

The NFC East side must find a replacement for either Tyron Smith or Tyler Biadasz in Thursday's first round.

Dallas lost both veteran offensive linemen to free agency and now it has holes in the middle and on the left side of the interior unit.

The good news for the Cowboys is there are plenty of intriguing prospects to target with the 24th overall pick.

Dallas could land one of the premier offensive tackles, or be lucky enough to select the best interior prospect in the draft class depending on how the first round shakes out.

Amarius Mims

Amarius Mims should be one of the offensive linemen on the shortlist for the Cowboys at No. 24.

Bleacher Report's NFL scouting department rated Mims as the No. 4 offensive tackle prospect and mocked him to the Cowboys at No. 24.

Joe Alt, Olumuyima Fashanu and JC Latham will be long gone by the time the Cowboys hit the clock on Thursday night, so Mims is the best-case scenario pick for them.

Replacing Tyron Smith is a big ask for any offensive tackle, but Mims is the best prospect to fill that role given Dallas' current needs.

The addition of a first-round offensive tackle should provide stability around Dak Prescott in the pocket as he operates Dallas' high-flying passing attack.

Tyler Guyton

Tyler Guyton should be Dallas' No. 2 option to fill the void on the left side of the offensive line.

The No. 5 offensive tackle in the draft class, per B/R's NFL scouting department, could be the choice at No. 24 if Mims is off the board.

That is a real possibility since Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Miami could all use offensive line help. They are three of the four teams directly in front of Dallas in the draft order.

The Athletic's Dane Brugler described Guyton as "raw but toolsy". That is not exactly the best description you want for a tackle joining a playoff team, but that also means Dallas can mold him into a blocker that suits its offensive strength.

Graham Barton

Graham Barton is the best center in the draft class.

B/R's NFL scouting department rated him as the No. 2 interior offensive line prospect behind Washington's Troy Fautanu, who can play guard and tackle.

Barton's strength is on the interior and he would be the perfect replacement for Biadasz if the Cowboys can somehow select him.

However, the Cowboys may have to trade up to land the Duke prospect because the Steelers need have a need on the offensive interior as well and pick at No. 20.

The Cowboys must get in front of the Steelers if they believe Barton will not fall to No. 24, but they do not have many 2024 picks to offer to move up five positions.

That may force the Cowboys to wait it out for Barton, and if he is selected before them, they can easily shift to the offensive tackles.
