Former Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr. says he doesn't care "too much" about being the first wide receiver selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Harrison addressed the question during a Q&A with USA TODAY Sports' Chris Bumbaca amid reports of Washington's Rome Odunze and LSU's Malik Nabers rising up the draft.

"I mean, it'd be nice. I honestly don't care about it too much," Harrison said about being the first receiver drafted. "Really just more focused on going to the right situation for me, that's going to help me be the best player I can be these first four years in the NFL.

"Whether that's first receiver off the board, third, fifth, whatever that may be, I'll just be happy that I'm getting drafted. And then like I said, just to do my best."

That "right situation" Harrison described could potentially be with the Arizona Cardinals, where he would rank first on the receiver depth chart and get to take passes from a two-time Pro Bowler in Kyler Murray.

The B/R NFL Scouting Department projects the Cardinals selecting Harrison with the No. 4 pick Thursday, which would make him both the first wideout, and first non-quarterback, off the board.

All three top receiver prospects are projected in the top ten by B/R NFL scouts, however. Odunze is predicted to go No. 6 to the New York Giants, while Nabers is projected to head to the Atlanta Falcons at No. 8.

Even if the Cardinals pass over Harrison for Odunze or Nabers, Harrison likely has the skills to remain a top-ten pick and get a shot at WR1 wherever he goes.
