Frustration is mounting for the Los Angeles Lakers after their 101-99 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of their Western Conference playoff series on Monday night.

Asked about the final play of the game, Anthony Davis simply said "Jamal Murray made a shot" before dropping the mic and walking off the podium.

Davis' blunt assessment isn't wrong. The game ended on Murray's jumper at the buzzer to cap off Denver's comeback after trailing by as many 20 points in the third quarter.

The Lakers were unhappy with the officiating in the loss. D'Angelo Russell took to X to voice his displeasure about a call that was overturned after a challenge by Nuggets head coach Michael Malone.

Michael Porter Jr. was initially whistled for a foul when it appeared he made contact with Russell's face on a drive to the basket.

"I don't understand what's going on in the replay center, to be honest," LeBron James told reporters afterward. "D-Lo clearly gets hit in the face on the drive. What the (expletive) do we have a replay center ... it doesn't make sense. It makes no sense. It bothers me."

Crew chief Scott Foster said over the house mic at Ball Arena the contact from Porter was "marginal" and the call was overturned.

The Lakers have had their chances in the series so far. They have had double-digits leads in each of the first two games, but find themselves going back to Los Angeles for Game 3 in an 0-2 hole.

Davis has scored 32 points on 61.9 percent shooting in each of the first two games and is averaging 12.5 rebounds in the series. James is averaging 26.5 points, 10 assists and 7.0 rebounds through two games.

The Lakers' main problem has been scoring in the second half. They have a total of 83 points in the third and fourth quarters of the first two games. They were outscored 32-20 in the fourth quarter on Monday night.

Los Angeles has now lost 10 consecutive games to the Nuggets dating back to last season.

Davis and the Lakers will look to end that losing streak while also getting back in the series in Game 3 at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET.
