Final Picks for Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay and AEW Dynasty 2024 Match Card

Donald Wood

The wrestling community is still recovering from the excitement surrounding WWE's two-night WrestleMania spectacle. AEW is ready to keep the momentum going with the 2024 edition of the Dynasty pay-per-view.

What AEW does better than WWE is focus the attention on the superior in-ring product, and Dynasty will blow WrestleMania out of the water in terms of storytelling in the ring and high-flying tactics.

The match that best defines the difference between WWE and AEW is Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay, which will undoubtedly put to shame WrestleMania's main event between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

Here are the final picks for every match on the AEW Dynasty 2024 card and a closer look at three of the most important bouts.

Samoa Joe vs. Swerve Strickland

When Swerve Strickland stomped through the security guards from the top rope and rose up to stand toe-to-toe with AEW world heavyweight champion Samoa Joe, it was abundantly clear who would walk out with the gold at Dynasty.

What time is it? It's Swerve's time.

Samoa Joe has led the company with pride since CM Punk was fired, giving the locker room a veteran presence that calmed the storm. As much as he is beloved by wrestling fans, Strickland is red hot right now, and the company needs to capitalize on his momentum.

If Swerve were to lose again after being defeated in his previous championship opportunities, his credibility among fans would be at its lowest. Instead, Strickland should win the world title and carry the company into its next era.

Toni Storm vs. Thunder Rosa

Over the last several months, "Timeless" Toni Storm has been not only one of the best parts of AEW programming, but also one of the best characters in all of wrestling. Her abilities and credibility as women's world champion make her a cornerstone of the brand.

At Dynasty, her reign as champion will continue after a marquee win over Thunder Rosa.

Rosa is a unique talent that has not been adequately utilized since returning from an injury. While Tony Khan and company should be booking the former champion strong, Storm needs the victory more to continue her story as the top star in the division.

The key for AEW is following up Rosa's loss with a program that wrestling fans can support. While Storm is waiting for Mariah May to turn and Deonna Purrazzo to take her title, Rosa should be embroiled in a quest to return to prominence after losing her way.

Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Danielson

While the bout does not have a championship on the line, the war between Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson has the potential to be a Match of the Year contender and steal the show at Dynasty.

Danielson is one of the best in-ring workers in wrestling history, but he is going against arguably the most athletically gifted performers of this generation. With contrasting styles and an identical drive to put on an unforgettable performance, the result could be absolute magic.

The American Dragon's greatest contribution to the wrestling business is his willingness to put other talent over, and he will do the same again when he steals the show with Ospreay and takes a clean pinfall loss.

Ospreay defeating Danielson would give the AEW newcomer the convincing win he needs to build credibility with casual fans, while also setting the stage for a rematch. And for the American Dragon, he will bounce back and continue putting on legendary matches.
