After being selected by the Indiana Fever with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft on Monday, Caitlin Clark is already getting used to her new team.

Fans were given a first look at Clark in her new uniform in pictures posted to social media Wednesday. She will be wearing her trademark No. 22, the same number she donned while starring at Iowa and becoming one of the greatest college basketball players of all time:

Clark was introduced to Fever fans for the first time in a press conference at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday morning. The two-time Naismith and Wooden Player of the Year spoke glowingly about the franchise with which she will begin her WNBA journey.

"I can't think of a better place for myself to start my career. A place that loves basketball, supports women's basketball, and an organization that really does things the right way, has championship pedigree," she told reporters.

Clark has already brought a boost in Fever fandom before she even stepped on the court. ESPN's Stephen Holder recently reported that Indiana confirmed a "spike" in ticket interest prior to the WNBA draft.

Clark is joining a Fever team that went 13-27 in 2023 and hasn't had a winning season or made the playoffs in seven consecutive years. She will be paired with 2023 No. 1 pick Aliyah Boston, who earned an All-Star selection in her first year and was named WNBA Rookie of the Year.

"There's just so much talent on this roster. Obviously Aliyah has been one of my teammates before with USA Basketball and I know first-hand how great she is," Clark said. "Erica Wheeler is somebody that's been having my back and we're not even teammates yet. A vet, somebody that's been in the league for a really long time. As a point guard you need someone to lean on, that's going to have your back, to ask questions."
