After becoming UFC BMF champion this past Saturday at UFC 300, Max Holloway is eyeing a rematch with the company's biggest star.

Holloway told Rob DeMello of KHON upon his return home to Hawaii that he would welcome the chance to share the Octagon once again with Conor McGregor, who was announced to be making his long-awaited return after a nearly three-year layoff at UFC 303 on June 29.

"It would be hard not to say with him finally getting announced that he's actually fighting, Conor [McGregor] 2," Holloway said. "That's the hugest fight, I think."

Holloway and McGregor's first fight is ancient history at this point, as they met in 2013 in a featherweight bout near the start of the Irishman's meteoric rise to becoming the most popular star in UFC. McGregor won by unanimous decision despite suffering a torn ACL during the fight.

Since that loss, Holloway (26-7) rattled off 18 wins and became champion at featherweight against just three losses, all of which came against fellow former champion Alex Volkanovski. After losing to Volkanovski for the third time, he bounced back with back-to-back wins at 145 pounds before defeating Justin Gaethje for the BMF title with a devastating fifth-round knockout that will go down as one of the greatest KOs in UFC history.

Holloway added that he is also eyeing a matchup with current featherweight titleholder Ilia Topuria, but he plans on resting up first.

"Legacy, ideal-wise, trying to get back to an undisputed title. Gotta go with [Ilia] Topuria, you know," he said. "He beat the man that I couldn't help but figure out. We'll see. We're having a little bible verse beef on top of Twitter right now, so you know, life's good. It's looking like it's gonna be him next, but first things first, Justin Gaethje kicked like a horse, man. I can feel it today. We're gonna recover."
