Von Miller's IG Posts Viral Meme Video About Bills GM Trading Up for WR in NFL Draft

Count Von Miller among those who want the Buffalo Bills to land a wide receiver during the 2024 NFL draft.

The pass-rusher posted a viral meme on social media suggesting Bills general manager Brandon Beane could be looking to trade up to land a wide receiver:

Buffalo has the No. 28 overall pick in the draft, which likely isn't high enough to land some of the top projected pass-catchers from this year's class.

B/R's NFL Scouting department projected Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. (No. 4), Washington's Rome Odunze (No. 5) and LSU's Malik Nabers (No. 6) to all go in the first six selections in its most recent mock draft, underscoring the elite-level talent at the position near the top of the board.

It also projected LSU's Brian Thomas Jr. (No. 18) and Florida State's Keon Coleman as first-rounders, with the latter going to Buffalo at No. 28.

That the Bills would be in the market for a wide receiver comes as no surprise after they traded four-time Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans this offseason. While he may not be quite the same player he was when he led the NFL with 1,535 receiving yards in 2020, he was still the AFC East team's surefire No. 1 option in the aerial attack.

Buffalo is still in a win-now window with Josh Allen under center, so it will likely need at least one more impact player at the position outside of new addition Curtis Samuel.

Perhaps saving draft capital and choosing someone like Coleman near the end of the first round is what the front office will ultimately do on draft day. But it sounds like Miller would like to see Beane and Co. trade up to land someone from the Harrison, Odunze and Nabers trio.
