Texans' Stefon Diggs Likes Post Saying Bills Have NFL's Worst Fanbase After Trade

Adam Wells

Buffalo Bills fans are generally regarded among the most passionate in the NFL, but Stefon Diggs apparently won't miss them now that he plays for the Houston Texans.

The four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver liked a post on X calling Bills fans "the worst fanbase" in the league.

In Diggs' defense, the original post that generated the comment about Bills fans came in response to one the veteran receiver made in which he wrote "Rip Tae" about the recent death of former NFL cornerback Vontae Davis at the age of 35.

Some of the comments directed to Diggs about that post are abhorrent. One of them is from a person who identifies as Depressed Buffalo Sports Fan, and the person commented "RIP your career" with prayer hands.

This isn't an uncommon occurrence for athletes who have social media accounts, though that's not an excuse for the online behavior of people.

If fans want to criticize Diggs because he seemed to take credit for Josh Allen turning into an elite quarterback after the Bills acquired him, that's fine and in line with the usual type of debate friends have with each other.

But there really is no reason to say anything negative about Diggs or his tenure with the Bills when he's paying respect to someone he competed against on the field many times during his NFL career.

Diggs' four-year run with the Bills came to an end on April 3 when he was traded to the Texans. He had 5,372 receiving yards and 37 touchdowns in 66 games with Buffalo over the past four seasons.
