Pelicans' Zion Williamson Hyped by NBA Fans for 'Superstar Stuff' vs. Giannis, Bucks

Julia Stumbaugh

Zion Williamson's dominance down the stretch led the New Orleans Pelicans to a 107-100 Thursday night home win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Williamson racked up 11 points in the fourth quarter to help the Pelicans overcome a late push by Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.

He finished the game with 28 points.

The New Orleans victory came as a relief to fans after the Pelicans' late collapse in a 119-112 Tuesday loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Although the fourth quarter focused on Williamson, the third belonged to Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks star went on a 20-point run in the third quarter to bring Milwaukee within sight of tying the game.

Williamson's strong fourth quarter helped stop Antetokounmpo from leading the Bucks to a comeback.

Antetokounmpo finished with 35 points and 14 rebounds. Despite the double-double, he shot 5-of-11 from the foul line, while Williamson sank 10 of his 16 free throws.

CJ McCollum added 25 points for New Orleans.

The Pelicans have won 10 of their last 13 games and sit half a game back of the Los Angeles Clippers for the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference

The Pelicans will look to close that gap with the Clippers as their homestand continues Saturday with a game against Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics.
