It's safe to say that Russell Wilson is fired up to begin his tenure with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 12-year veteran posted a video on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that showcased a workout routine and included a caption that read "Love the Work. The Best Is Ahead."
The video shows Wilson moving around in the pocket, doing resistance sprints, weaving through an obstacle before making a thrown and finally simulating different throws with receivers.
Wilson notably posted a workout video last offseason as well, which depicted his weight loss and preparation for season two in Denver. His play did improve, but he was ultimately cut by the franchise following the season and signed in Pittsburgh where he will seemingly be the team's starter in 2024.
He threw for 3,070 yards with 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 15 games in 2023, but Denver went 7-8 in games he started and missed the postseason for the eighth consecutive season.
He joins a Steelers team that went 10-7 and reached the postseason in 2023 but notably had some struggling quarterback play. Pittsburgh finished 25th in passing yards in 2023, and no quarterback that threw a pass for the team last season is still with the franchise.
Wilson is joined by 2021 first-round pick Justin Fields in the quarterback room, and the two should be an upgrade from last year's trio of Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph and Mitch Trubisky.
