Veteran safety Jamal Adams has found a new home.

The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with Adams on Thursday, marking the 28-year-old's third team in his eight-year NFL career. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the one-year contract is worth a league-minimum amount of $1.125 million. The safety will also receive a $167,000 signing bonus.

The deal reunites Adams with Titans defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, who was his defensive backs coach during his Pro Bowl seasons in 2018 and 2019.

Adams spent the last four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, who acquired him from the New York Jets in 2020 in exchange for a package that included two first-round picks. Seattle signed him to a four-year, $72 million contract extension in 2021, making him the league's highest-paid safety at the time.

Unfortunately, things didn't work out too well for Adams during his tenure with the Seahawks. He played just 34 games over four seasons due to various injuries. A re-torn labrum in his left shoulder limited him to 12 games in 2021, and he suffered a torn quad in the 2022 season opener that ruled him out for the remainder of the year.

Adams made his 2023 debut in Week 4 against the New York Giants, but a concussion and lingering effects from his quad injury limited him to nine games before he was shut down for the year in December. He finished the year with 48 total tackles and two passes defended.

The Seahawks saved $16.5 million in 2024 and $17.5 million in 2025 by releasing Adams on March 5.

Adams was the No. 6 pick by the Jets in the 2017 NFL draft. The three-time Pro Bowler set an NFL record for a defensive back with 9.5 sacks in 2020.

The Titans are certainly hoping that Adams will be able to regain his form next season as they try to compete for a playoff spot.
