NFL Draft Prospect Tyler Owens Says He Doesn't 'Believe in Space' and 'Other Planets'

Texas Tech defensive back Tyler Owens is considered one of the fastest prospects in the 2024 NFL draft class, and some of his beliefs make him stand out from the rest of the pack even more.

While speaking to reporters at the NFL combine on Thursday, Owens revealed that he doesn't "believe in space" or "other planets" and he subscribes to flat-earth theories that he believes are "interesting" and have "valid points."

Owens spent five years in college, playing three seasons at Texas before transferring to Texas Tech ahead of the 2022 season. As a fifth-year senior in 2023, he totaled 30 tackles and two pass breakups.

In addition to his eccentric theories, Owens is not short on confidence. He told reporters that the expectation of his 40-yard dash time "should be in the 4.2s somewhere."

If Owens achieves that rare number, NFL scouts will surely have no problems overlooking his unconventional beliefs.
