Georgia Bulldogs 2024 quarterback recruit Dylan Raiola is reportedly getting a headstart on his move to the Peach State.

Raiola, who is the No. 1 player in the nation in the class of 2024, will be transferring from Pinnacle High School in Arizona to Buford High School in Georgia to play his senior season, his father Dominic told Richard Obert of the Arizona Republic.

This will be Raiola's third transfer of his high school career. He began at Burleson High School in Texas before moving to Arizona and joining Chandler High School for his junior season.

While Raiola originally intended to play his senior year at Pinnacle, Obert pointed out that his playing time wasn't guaranteed because "Pinnacle coach Dana Zupke said in the spring that he felt like he had two starting quarterbacks" with him and junior Wyatt Horton, who led the team to a state final as a sophomore last year. Also, Raiola faced a five-game suspension by the Arizona Interscholastic Association because of its transfer policy.

"After meeting with Pinnacle's leadership and specifically their head coach, he didn't have much confidence in Dylan not having to sit any games and Dylan wants to play a full senior season," Dominic Raiola told 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong. "When he committed to Georgia, that allowed us to be closer to where he's going to spend the next four years of his life and enroll and be free and clear to play the whole season and compete."

A 6'3", 220-pound signal-caller, Raiola threw for 2,435 yards and 22 TDs at Chandler after passing for 3,341 yards and 42 touchdowns during his sophomore season at Burleson, per Obert.

"Raiola can make all the throws within the route-tree to make plays when he is in the pocket or on the move," 247Sports recruiting analyst Chris Singletary said. "The growth he will continue to show will be in facing different defenses with regards to coverages that he will have to decipher as he evolves as a playmaker at the position."

Raiola will have his first opportunity to suit up for Buford when the team opens its season in a marquee matchup against Baltimore's St. Francis Academy, a top-10 team in the nation, on Aug. 18.
