Washington Wizards star shooting guard Bradley Beal made his return from a three-game absence in Tuesday's loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, but he reaggravated the injury that caused his stint on the sidelines.

The Wizards announced on Thursday that Beal is expected to miss another three games at least after an MRI revealed a low-grade hamstring strain. Beal, who previously missed time with hamstring soreness, is expected to be reevaluated in one week.

Beal played just 13 minutes in Tuesday's game before being forced to exit, finishing with eight points, four assists, two steals and one rebound. The Wizards fell 123-113 as Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo went off for a career-high 55 points in a dominant performance.

Hamstring issues have hindered Beal throughout this season, as he also missed time early in December with the same ailment.

The 29-year-old is Washington's go-to scorer, leading the team with 22.9 points per game while adding 5.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. He shot a career-best 52.5 percent from the field in his 24 appearances to go with 34.0 percent from three-point range.

The Wizards had won five straight games prior to Tuesday's loss, so the team could mitigate the Beal's absence this time around. Veteran forward Kristaps Porziņģis has topped the 20-point mark in each of his last five outings, and forward Kyle Kuzma has established himself as a primary option on the team.

Washington (17-22) will conclude its four-game road trip Friday when the team visits the Oklahoma City Thunder (16-22).
