Ben Simmons' Instagram Account Deactivated amid Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving Rumors

With uncertainty swirling around the Brooklyn Nets, Ben Simmons is going off the grid.

The Nets guard has deactivated his Instagram account:

The move comes after teammate Kevin Durant requested a trade, while Kyrie Irving is also the subject of trade rumors in a possible move to the Los Angeles Lakers, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Simmons joined Brooklyn in a February trade from the Philadelphia 76ers, but he never played a game while recovering from a back injury.

The 25-year-old also missed the start of the year with the 76ers due to mental health.

Simmons still seemed excited about his move to the Nets with the chance to play with established superstars in Durant and Irving.

"I think it's gonna be scary having those guys run alongside me," he told reporters in February. "There's multiple different weapons on the floor, and I think at the pace we want to play at it's gonna be unreal."

It's now clear this dream will not come to fruition, and Simmons will either be traded again or be part of a rebuilding project in Brooklyn.

Whatever his NBA future holds, it seems he doesn't want to communicate with the public through social media at the moment.
