OVERALL

Dixon is a big-bodied receiver who aligned both inside and outside in college. He has good hands with long arms that allow him to maximize his catching range. Dixon flashes explosiveness when high-pointing throws, and that quick-twitch athleticism shows up on his releases. He is able to win with body control and lateral burst along with his bigger frame. Dixon is a competitive player who is a willing blocker on the outside, where he will use his long arms to his advantage to gain leverage.

Dixon is an above-average route-runner right now. He will get stuck on shorter routes when operating from the slot, but it’s still encouraging to see him be somewhat competent in those routes given his size. And although he flashes some twitchiness, he is just average with the ball in his hands, preferring to simply get north.

Overall, Dixon will likely be an outside-only receiver at the NFL level. He has enough long speed and overall athleticism and is a comfortable catcher. He is not afraid to use his size and has potential in the red zone as a true ball winner. He will need continued refinement on his route polish, and there will be a jump in competition level that will likely take some time to adjust to. But he has some intriguing tools to work with, and his competitiveness and toughness gives him some potential as a special teams player early in his career. He has room for development as a No. 3 or 4 receiver on a roster who can take a handful of snaps from the slot as well with his blocking ability.
