Video: DK Metcalf Responds to High Schooler Saying 'Jalen Ramsey Is Your Dad'

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf has been known to not shy away from confrontations, but apparently, even young hecklers aren't let off the hook.

A video surfaced on social media in which a high schooler told Metcalf as he was walking away, "Jalen Ramsey's your dad." Metcalf doubled back and asked him to repeat himself before asking, "Why you say that?"

"Because of the film," the high schooler responded.

"And who are you?" Metcalf fired back.

The brief exchange ended with the high schooler saying he played football and Metcalf saying, "Good luck to you, bro" before walking away.

Since entering the league as a second-round pick in 2019, Metcalf has shown a penchant for letting his emotions get the better of him, and that didn't change during the 2023 season.

Then-Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said at one point he had to have a "serious" conversation with Metcalf about cutting down on his penalties, the majority of which were for taunting, unsportsmanlike conduct, unnecessary roughness or disqualification.

However, Metcalf said a month later, "I'm not going to change the way I play." He finished the 2023 season with 1,114 yards and eight touchdowns, though his 66 receptions were his lowest total since his rookie year.

Seahawks fans are certainly hoping that Metcalf will be able to keep his emotions in check in 2024, but his run-in with the high schooler indicates that his fiery personality is likely here to stay.
