WWE WrestleMania 41: Rising Stars Who Deserve Major Push for Next Year's PPV

Erik Beaston

The future of WWE is bright, with several stars rising at the same time that the company and its product is the hottest it has been in three decades.

From NXT stars outgrowing their surroundings and ready for main roster runs, to one of the most talented and awe-inspiring performers in the world just waiting for the opportunity to prove himself on the grand stage, some have earned the right to dance on the WrestleMania stage by the time the 2025 show rolls around.

Who are they and why do they deserve the opportunity so many work each year to attain?

Let's take a look.

Carmelo Hayes

All Carmelo Hayes has done in his WWE run is consistently prove that he is who he says he is: HIM.

Egotistical but excellent, he has routinely shown up and shown out, backing up all of his claims of greatness while winning every singles title available to him in NXT.

He has competed in main events of premium live events, battled the best the brand had to offer, and even made a brief jump to SmackDown for a weeks-long story arc with Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.

Saturday at NXT Stand & Deliver, he battled his former friend turned hated enemy, Trick Williams, in the first main event featuring two black men in the brand's history.

He has done everything he set out to on Tuesday nights and with the WWE Draft upcoming, one has to assume he will be one of the most coveted picks of the NXT crop.

As he should be.

Look for Hayes to make an immediate splash on whichever show he ends up on, his eyes on making sure he competes on the grandest stage come next WrestleMania weekend.

Ricochet

It is still astonishing that WWE officials have not figured out how to print money with Ricochet.

The high-flying uber-athlete can do things in the ring and, more importantly, within the context of the story of any match, that others cannot dream of let alone actually execute.

We witnessed it again Monday night on Raw, with his breathtaking springboard 450 splash to Bronson Reed, through the announce table

He is otherworldly in his athleticism and ability to create new, never-before-seen moves, seemingly from nowhere.

He has seen his profile rise significantly over the last two months, thanks to consistent appearances on Raw and victories over The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, but he has earned more than that.

Hopefully, his recent string of appearances and his presence in the No. 1 contender's match Monday night, are indicative of a big push to come for one of the most dynamic and spectacular performers in the industry because he long ago earned the right to dance on the WrestleMania stage in a prominent role.

Lyra Valkyria

Even before she won the NXT Women's Championship, Lyra Valkyria was one of the most talented competitors on that brand's roster.

The Irish-born competitor has European influences but through her role as champion in NXT, discovered her on-screen presence, too. She had an opportunity to develop her promos, and her work with obsessive friend Tatum Paxley has helped with that.

No longer the champion following her loss to Roxanne Perez at Stand & Deliver, there is little left for her to accomplish on Tuesday nights, except wrapping up the Paxley story.

A talented in-ring performer who could jump to the main roster tomorrow and hang with any of the women there, as evidenced by her victory over Becky Lynch to win the NXT title in the first place, she is ready to spread her wings and take flight on the Mondays or Fridays.

If she has that opportunity, a place on the WrestleMania 41 card should be a given.

Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker is the most explosive male Superstar on the WWE roster.

A ball of energy who conquered NXT in short order and has been ready to dominate for a year now, he is the future of the industry.

He is also on his way out of the developmental brand and onto bigger and better things, presumably with the SmackDown brand following his debut on Fridays a month ago. Breakker addressed the NXT faithful Tuesday night following him and Baron Corbin's tag team title loss to Nathan Frazer and Axiom.

The second-generation competitor, son of Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott, has the raw tools to be a main event star in short order. Luckily, Triple H and WWE Creative have done a great job of establishing depth on the main roster so that he does not have to be rushed into anything that he is not yet ready for.

A few midcard feuds, with veteran competitors who can help guide him, should be the course he takes before skyrocketing to the upper echelon.

He may not be the main event by next year's Showcase of the Immortals but do not be surprised if Breakker is competing in one by the time the 2026 show rolls around.

Even if the Breakker name needs to be re-evaluated.
