WWE Rumors: Eagles Legend Jason Kelce 'Would Be Welcomed Back' After WrestleMania 40

Joseph Zucker

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce "would be welcomed back to WWE with open arms," according to TMZ Sports.

The seven-time Pro Bowler recently made an appearance at his old stomping grounds, showing up with former teammate Lane Johnson to help Rey Mysterio and Andrade beat Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia.

The moment called to mind when former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski involved himself at WrestleMania 33, which laid the groundwork for him to briefly sign with WWE before coming out of retirement.

From the moment Kelce gave his legendary speech at the Eagles' Super Bowl victory parade, it was clear the 36-year-old had a future in pro wrestling if he wanted it. He has the kind of charisma and a flair for the dramatic that would serve him well in the squared circle.

WWE will have to get in line in terms of Kelce's career prospects post-retirement, however, since he reportedly has multiple suitors if he wants to move into broadcasting full time.
